One nice lady who apparently works in the store and had seen me before, chased after me in the store to ask where I bought my coat (the long grey floral coat I bought for half price at Romy's), and then told me "You're always dressed so nice!"
The other said something simple like "Don't you look nice? Just coming home from work?" (which I wasn't, but could have been).
Yesterday the wife of a friend, who knows my story, meeting me in person for the first time at lunch, seemed surprised as she told me "You look lovely!" Later that evening a very nice, rather good looking guy at a large dinner gathering said about the same thing.
I suppose it's a terrible sign of vanity, but things like that really cheer me up! It's all I can do not to walk around with a stupid grin on for the rest of the day.
It's as if the good LORD knew I needed some cheering up this week!
We should really make a point of saying nice things to people more often. It's really not that hard to do.
